1984 revisited

Australians identity is in danger!  This is not any illusion nor is it the opinion of a dinosaur as the Left would have you believe.  So what have I based this opinion on? In May 1974 our combined Defence Force size was 67,890. In 2021 these numbers were reduced to 60,400.  So what happened? The answer lies in the Fabians philosophy. Well, simply Australians no longer find the same pride in serving their country.  Our population went from 13,713,338 in 1974 to 26,177,413 in 2021 almost twice the population and yet our permanent Defence Force has actually got smaller? Seeing as the Defence Force will train you, Educate you, feed you, Pay you give job security, and move you around Australia where is the problem?
