When decisions don’t add up

Image
When did it become illegal to have an individual point of view?  When did it become a sin to decide what you want to invade your body with? And when did it become Australian to criticise people and restrict their freedoms because we disagree with their choices? I am a Pro Choice advocate.  I am a believer in allowing individuals without fear or favour their right to decide what they do to or with their bodies as long as they are deciding for themselves alone.  Many claim killing a foetus is okay because it is a woman's choice what she does with her body, I am deeply opposed to this but it was legislated as their choice and I accepted that after a long debate for and against this is what the majority decided in Parliament In Queensland we legislated to allow Euthanasia, This time I agree in theory with this because it is allowing a person the dignity to decide how they want to greet death when they have a illness or disease that is killing them already. This though should...

The CoVid-19 Shell game

Image
Respiratory diseases include causes of death such as pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lower respiratory diseases (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis). Deaths due to COVID-19 are not included in this category. COVID-19 deaths are captured using WHO issued emergency codes U07.1 and U07.2 and are not currently grouped with any other diseases, though they are included in the total number of deaths and are presented in the data downloads. There were 6,257 deaths from respiratory diseases between January and June 2021. This is comparable to both the 2015-19 average of 6,177 deaths, and the 6,139 deaths at the same point in 2020. During June 2021 there were 1,193 deaths due to respiratory diseases, which is 197 (19.8%) more than in June 2020, and comparable to the baseline average of 1,249. Influenza and pneumonia are acute respiratory diseases often grouped together when compiling leading causes of death. They are two distinct diseases: influenza is a viral infection, whi...
COVID-19 vaccination is not a cure-all or a complete substitute for safe behaviour. It should supplement other public health rules and guidelines.   After you are vaccinated, COVID-safe measures remain in place. These include: testing contact tracing  quarantine  isolation . “A modest percentage of people who are fully vaccinated will still get Covid-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it,” Dr. Walensky said in the email. Still, most vaccinated people with a breakthrough infection are likely to have mild symptoms. 11 Aug 2021 To continue to protect others, you still need to: practise good hygiene   practise  physical distancing follow the  limits for public gatherings understand how to  isolate  if you need to. In July  a fully vaccinated nurse at a COVID ward at Westmead Hospital in Western Sydney  tested positive for COVID-19 . As well as receiving both doses of a COVID vaccine – it is not clear which one – she ...

Glady Berejiklian ICAC inquiry

Image
I am hearing from her supporters saying ICAC are wrong to have started an investigation into her, however, that is rubbish as you can see below.  In fact this is overdue and an innocent person does not flee Parliament until their innocence is proven.  Sorry, if you disagree with me, but read this and make your own minds up. The New South Wales Upper House has referred Premier Glady Berejiklian to the state’s corruption watchdog, which is already investigating the business dealings of her former partner Daryl Maguire. The motion   asserts that the NSW Premier failed to declare a conflict of interest when dealing with road upgrades. In that regard, there are concerns that Ms Berejiklian met with Mr Maguire about an upgrade to a road more than 100km from his Wagga Wagga electorate, which runs past two investment properties he hoped to use as short-term rental accommodation. It also alleges the Premier failed to disclose a conflict of interest when planning the M9 Outer Sydne...
