Yet they no longer have the draconian rules we are applying in Australia in regard Social distancing etc.
In Australia as at 3pm on 15 August 2021, we have had a total of 39,096 cases of COVID-19 reported in Australia, including 958 deaths, and approximately 7,000 active cases. Remember these are total numbers since the Pandemic started.
Over the past week, there has been an average of 396 new cases reported each day. Of the newly reported cases, the majority have been from New South Wales. However, we must consider the difference in figures because in the UK they have restrictions now, they have well over the 75% of population claimed to be immunised and yet their stats show that active cases in 2 days far exceed Australias total cases in around 2 years.
Like with the flu we have to accept people will get ill and some will die. We have a flu vaccine available to people but it is their choice to get immunised, because we are a democratic society, and no Govt has the right to take away our choice in these matters.
The Coronavirus is not any worse than other strains of flu have been. It is time the Govt stops locking people into quarantine with other household members who dont have the virus. When most people recognise they are sick they will isolate themselves from friends and family naturally and this has always been found to be satisfactory in controlling outbreaks.
For the record I get a flu injection each year and have no fears of vaccinations when it is proven they work.
