1984 is alive and sick

Thirty-five years after publication, when the present caught up with Orwell’s future and the world had not changed into the nightmare he had described, commentators predicted that his books popularity would wane. 

Another 40 years have elapsed since then, and Nineteen Eighty-Four remains the book we turn to whenever the truth is mutilated, when language is distorted, when power is abused, when we want to know how bad things can get. 

As Orwell's 1984 turns 72, It Predicted Much Of Today's Surveillance Society" — "George Orwell’s famous novel Nineteen Eighty-Four turns 73 years old in December 2021.  Looking back on its predictions and the state of the world today, how much did it get right in its predictions of a dystopian surveillance state where every word is monitored, unacceptable speech is deleted, history is rewritten or deleted altogether and individuals can become 'unpersons' for holding views disliked by those in power? It turns out Orwell’s predictions were frighteningly accurate."In 1984, it was the state that determined what constituted acceptable speech in keeping society orderly.

"In 2024, it is FaceBook, media, especially our supposed free press and its other companies that wield absolute power over what we are permitted to see and say online.

"In 1984, there were just a few countries to which most of the world’s citizens belonged.

"In 2021, most of the world’s citizens belong to the United Nations

"In 1984, it was the state that conducted surveillance and censored speech.

"In 2024, social media companies deploy vast armies of human and algorithmic moderators that surveil their users 24/7, flagging those that commit thoughtcrimes and deleting their violations from existence. Those that commit too many thoughtcrimes are banished to 'unperson' status by these same private companies, without any intervention or even in contradiction with the will of the state and without any right to appeal."

And when they needed a catalyst to strip our rights from us a human made coronavirus appeared that keeps getting worse and allows our Big Brother to enforce its citizens to be vaccinated and make the idea of creating a vaccination wallet and tracking everyone's movements whenever they want.  Huge fines are applied to people who try to exercise their human rights and leave their homes, effectively scaring its citizens into complying with Big Brother’s edicts.  

So now we have internet censorship of certain views and opinions and Defence Force being used to support Police crackdowns on anyone daring to express their own views, opinions, or right to move around in society.

If you cant see what is happening, they have won, if you don’t use your voice to fight back they've won and if you vaccinate only because you think you have to, then they have won.  It is your choice whether to vaccinate and i support that, but they have shut down the truth about vaccines and have increased the scare campaign including their contact tracking while there is no one allowed to oppose their views and while media are restricted if they continue to question the government methods.

1984 is in effect in 2021, only the people can stop this spread but the only voices allowed on Social media are those who dont oppose this attack on our lifestyles and our rights to freedom of opinion and views.
