TheVoice is a failure

 


The Voice is an expensive distraction of the Labor Government's failure.


I can't support it. There is not one argument that shows a real reason for this change.  


It will ruin any possibility of uniting Australians as it will make Australians 2 classes of people in cur Constitution it is ridiculous to claim it will unite Indigenous and non Indigenous will unite  if they are in the constitution, all that will happen is it will make division greater which is the ploy of Socialism as this is how they tend to work.  I remind people of the 15 years with ATSIC which the Indigenous population had not only a Voice but unrestricted control of Indigenous issues, funding and programs. It was run by elected Indigenous council members and it did not work. 


My Viewpoint is not a racial view, I believe almost all Indigenous programs and fu ding should stop.  Any disadvantaged Australians should be looked after in the same way. There is only an 8 year difference in life expectancy, And the argument of higher mortality rate of Indigenous Australians is nothing the Voice could fix.  The factors underlying the higher infant and child mortality rates for Indigenous children are complex; they include higher rates of preterm birth and low birthweight, higher rates of maternal smoking during pregnancy, poorer pre-pregnancy maternal health, higher levels of social disadvantage, poorer access to Health Care Education.  However this can apply to any Australian living in the same way, it is not a Indigenous issue as such, and so should just be addressed without making it a racial issue.


Education is also a issue Indigenous kids attending school is much lower than non Indigenous kids, but this again should not be a racial issue it is a issue for all and we must stop the "us and them" thoughts and stop making excuses.  It is a problem that must be addressed for all Australian kids with consideration of where they live and availability of schools.


I have even heard people were voting yes because Australians should all be equal?  I just  hope people have listened to the large number of Indigenous people who are telling us to vote 

NO as it will make racism a part of our constitution instead.


The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) (1990–2005) was the Australian Government body through which Aboriginal Australians and Torres Strait Islanders were formally involved in the processes of government affecting their lives, established under the Hawke government in 1990. A number of Indigenous programs and organisations fell under the overall umbrella of ATSIC.

This failed also and I believe we need to stop the US and them attitude and become Australians with a policy covering us all.

The Significance of Choice

 I spent many years in the RAAF and discipline was a part of life.  We only had limited freedom on base and appreciated our freedoms and the choices we had off base.  Even when I was an Investigator with Immigration we dealt with a unsavoury element of human traffickers and crawled in tight spacer both on boats and on land.  Due to this we had a need for Hep injections, but this a individuals choice even though work paid for them.  The same went with Influenza and pneumococcal injections.
